Lokesh Kanagaraj is a two-film old director in Kollywood. After receiving critical acclaim for his two films – Maanagaram and Kaithi, he impressed Thalapathy Vijay with his script. His next film Master boasts an ensemble cast starring Vijay, Vijay Sethupathi, Malavika Mohanan and Andrea Jeremiah in the lead roles.
On New Year’s Eve, the makers of Master released the first look poster. Today, on the auspicious occasion of Pongal, the team has released the second look poster amid much expectation and fanfare. XB Film Creators, the production house shared the poster and wrote, “Time to cheer! The Master is here! Happy pongal Nanbaa! (sic)”
In the poster, we see a bunch of kids facing the other way with Vijay in the middle. He looks terrific in a black suit silencing his villains. Within a few minutes, the poster has gone viral on social media with hundreds of retweets.

Master is easily one of the most anticipated films in Kollywood as it marks the first collaboration of Lokesh Kanagaraj, Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi. The first look poster received a lot of love from the fans, thanks to Vijay’s piercing look while toying with a Kada.
Going by the rumours, the Sarkar actor is expected to play the role of a college professor while Vijay Sethupathi might be seen as a local gangster. Currently, the shooting is progressing at a brisk pace in Chennai with Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi shooting their combination scenes.
Lokesh Kanagaraj, in an earlier interview, revealed that the audience will witness a never-seen-before Vijay in the film. Produced by XB Film Creators, the technical crew of the film comprises of composer Anirudh Ravichander, cinematographer Sathyan Sooryan and editor Philomin Raj.
